Chika: Hey, are you two busy tomorrow? You: Tomorrow? Uh... Hope, I think I'm free. Riko: Is something going on? Chika: Yeah. Izu Mito Sea Paradise is doing a "stamp rally" event. Chika: You have to go to multiple places in the aquarium, get a sheet stamped, and when you get them all, you win a prize! Chika: I thought it'd be fun if we all went together. What do you think? Riko: A stamp rally? Sounds fun! I'd love to try it. You: Me too! I wonder what the prizes are. I can't wait to find out! Chika: Yay! Let's ask Kanan, Hanamaru, and the others after school today. Hanamaru: Chika! Dia: Good morning, everyone. Chika: Hanamaru, Ruby, Dia! Ruby: Pant Sorry we're late... Riko: You're actually five minutes early, so no worries. You: Yeah. We just got here ourselves. Chika: Yoshiko beat all of us. She's been here for a while! Yoshiko: There is no being capable of surpassing Yohane. I am the alpha and the omega, the one above all, who stands above demons, gods, heroes, even time itself! Hanamaru: Yup. She was so excited she got here super early. Riko: Why do you need such a grandiose shtick for a simple trip to the aquarium? Mari: Good morning! Kanan: Morning! oh, are we the last ones here? Chika: Mari, Kanan! Good morning! Chika: Okay, that's everyone. Let's go inside and start working on getting those prizes!

Story 1: Walrus Tank
Chika: Look, the walrus us wearing a sign! It says, "Stamp rally going on now!" Aww, he's advertising! You: Oh, you're right! Look, there's a stamp right in front of the tank. Let's stamp our sheets! Chika: This is the first station, so it goes in the square number one. Stamp! Aww, it's blurry. I should've inked it better. Riko: Yeah... Let's get lots of ink on there first, and... There! Oh, shoot, it's all smudged. I put on too much ink. You: I want mine to look nice and clean. Okay, lemme really press down so it doesn't smudge... Riko: You, no need to do it twice! Since I used too much, I bet there's just the right amount left on the pad now. Ruby: The walrus is so big... Look at that bushy mustache! Yoshiko: Mu, ha, ha. The more I look, the cuter he gets! Hanamaru: Apparently male walruses can grow over four meters long. Ruby: Four meters?! That's incredible. What do they eat to get so big? Hanamaru: Mostly clams and other shellfish, zura. Sometimes fish, too. Ruby: Shellfish... I wonder if I'd grow like that if I started eating more shellfish. Yoshiko: What? Ruby, are you aiming for a more walrus-like figure? Ruby: N-No! I meant height. I wanna be a little taller, like Mari and Kanan. I wish I was closer to their height. Hanamaru: Don't worry, Ruby. We're still growing, zura! Yoshiko: Really, Zuramaru? Frankly, I think you're much more likely to end up looking like a walrus than Ruby. Hanamaru: Huh?! Wh-Why?! Yoshiko: I seem to recall a certain Someone-maru eating the entire box of red bean jam donuts that was in the club room... Hanamaru: Wh-Whaaaaaaaat?! How'd you know that, zura?! I thought no one was there! Yoshiko: The walls have ears, the hills have eyes, and any place where a sin where a sin is being committed has Yohane! Even if God overlooks your crimes, Yohane won't! Ruby: Oh, Hanamaru, you ate the whole box?! Yoshiko: You may not have noticed yet, but you're getting a little pudgy around the midsection. You're on the fast track to walrus physique at this rate. Ruby: Actually... It does seem like your waist and hips are getting closer in size... Hanamaru: Eeek! R-Ruby, please don't stare at me like that, zura!

Story 2: Jellyfish Kaleidoscope
Riko: Wow, look at all the jellyfish. How pretty! You: They have such an ethereal aura... Dia: Here's the stamp station. This is station two. Ruby: It's too dark. I can barely see... Chika: Hey, the lighting changed! Now we can see. This is our chance to get our stamps! Yoshiko: Here in the deep sea where light cannot reach, I place the mark of darkness! Ha! ...I missed. Hanamaru: Of course you're going to miss when you push the stamp so hard, zura! Mari: It's like when the jellyfish change color when the lights change. What a beautiful sight. Their light, floaty bodies just seem to put you at ease. Chika: The ones in this tank are called "moon jellyfish." The part under their bell looks like flower petals! Riko: Huh? Oh, wow. The walls are mirrored! Kanan: Yup. That's why they call this place the jellyfish kaleidoscope. It makes it look like the tank goes on forever. Riko: I see. When I first looked at it, I couldn't believe how big the tank was. Chika: They look so happy, swimming around together... You: it's like they're not even swimming, just drifting... Riko: ......................... Chika: ........................... You: ......................... You: Somehow, watching them makes you forget all your troubles. Riko: Chuckle I'll say. It makes you realize how silly it is to have any worries in the first place. Chika: I hope I'm reincarnated as a jellyfish. Imagine, just drifting across the sea, not bothered by anything. What a life! Hanamaru: Until you get eaten by a sea turtle. Together: Urk! Hanamaru: Or a sunfish. Or one of the jellyfish species that eats other jellyfish, zura. Or... You: C-Cannibal jellyfish? Riko: Yeesh. Mari: Hanamaru, there's something about the way you totally kill the mood without a moment's hesitation that's totally endearing.

Story 3: Waterside Rest Area
Dia: Oh, how adorable! Psst! Look over here! Just let me get one more picture... So cute... Hanamaru: Dia, you sure are worked up, zura. Ruby: She's been waiting to see the snowy owl this whole time. Dia: Me! Look at me! Mari: Say cheese, little snowy owl! Dia: Why is she only looking at Mari?! Yoshiko: White wings and golden eyes. How striking! It would be no exaggeration to say such beauty and wisdom was made just for Yohane. Now, come to me! Yoshiko: C'mon... Darn it, I can't get her face in the picture! The second I raise my camera, she looks away! Ruby: Gotcha! Yoshiko: ?! Ruby: Oh, yay! She closed her eyes right when I hit the button! Hanamaru: Lemme see, lemme see! Aww, you're right! It looks like she's smiling, zura. How cute! Yoshiko: Bwuh?! Chika: It's kinda odd to see birds in an aquarium. You: This is called the waterside relaxation area. See? The river otters make their dens in rivers and lakes, too. Riko: It's fun to see so many different animals! Aww, look at the cute little river otters. They're so energetic! Kanan: They keep darting back and forth between the land and water. What're they so worked up about? Chika: And when they are in the water, they're always spinning around. Don't they get dizzy? You: I bet they feel great when they jump in the water. I know the feeling! Sometimes it's nice to float like a jellyfish, but most of the time, I want to swim! Kanan: I like to keep things a little more chill, myself. Swimming freely like a fish is fun, but I let the current take me, it's like becoming one with the water. You: Kanan... I think something's calling me. Kanan: I feel it, too, You. The sea is calling to me! Riko: You, Kanan, what's with you two? H-Hey! Where're you going?! Stop, that leads right to the water! Chika: They really do love the sea, don't they? Riko: Chika, stop being so nonchalant and stop them!

Story 4: Dolphin Statue
Riko: Pant Pant Geez, you two really freaked me out when you took off like that. You: Laughs Sorry, sorry! Watching those river otters swimming just gave me the urge to get in the water. Kanan: Trying to go diving in these clothes probably wouldn't have worked out, huh? Riko: Sigh You were so worked up, I thought you were really going to do it. Riko: Ah! Wow, look at how clear Mount Fuji is from here! The sea, the sky... even the mountains are all such a beautiful shade of blue. Riko: Even though I see Mount Fuji and the sea every day now that I live in Uchiura, the magnificent scenery never fails to impress. Mari: Ka-naaaan! C'mere, c'mere! Hold this and stand still. Kanan: Huh? What's this card say? "The almighty conqueror"... What the heck?! Mari: Repeat after me. "I shall cast down all who stand in my way. I am supreme ruler of all time and space, Kanan Matsuura!" Kanan: What is this script all about? And what do you mean, repeat? Are you filming?! Dia: Shame on you, Kanan. School idols sing of hopes and dreams. You must be a creator, not a conqueror! Kanan: I didn't say anything! Mari: And here's your cue card, Dia. Dia: Huh? Wh-What's this... "Conceit"? Mari: Hands on your hips, feet shoulder width apart. Now, point your chin up in the air and look down your nose. There. Now you're "Stuck Up!" Dia: I am NOT doing that! Chika: Hey, hey! Is anyone else hungry? Hanamaru: Me! I'm starving, zura. Yoshiko: I'm out of mana. Ruby: It's just about lunchtime. You: Well, let's grab a bite at the food court. Chika: I'm in! Since we're here, we should sit out on the terrace. Yoshiko: Won't we get a bunch of junk blown in our faces? Chika: Nah, there's no wind today. We'll be fine. Hanamaru: Lunch, lunch, lunch! What should I get? Riko: Everyone... Look at the view...

Story 5: Enclosures
Chika: What a great lunch. Hanamaru: That hit the spot, zura. Dia: Let's take a little walk to help ourselves digest. Kanan: How about a stroll around here? We can check out the seals and sea lions, and they've got flamingos on the other side too. Dia: Sounds good. That'll be just the right amount of post-lunch exercise. Chika: Oh! Look at the seal poking its head above the water! Its eyes are so big and round... How cute. Aww, it's gone... You: There are sea lions and fur seals too! I wish I could stretch out and swim just like them. Riko: No jumping in, all right You? Chika: Gasp The seal's coming on land! Hey there, Mr. Seal! Dia: Chika, no running! And no shouting either... Mari: Aww, there are penguins over here! Look at them waddling around, So cute! Yoshiko: Hey there! Hmm... They're not avoiding the camera, but they keep spinning around. Oh! Finally, a good shot! Kanan: There are penguins in other places, too, like over by the flamingos. These are Humboldt penguins, and over there are African penguins. Mari: Wow! Then I need to get the ultimate shot of the African penguins over there. Here we go! Dia: Not you too, Mari! The penguins aren't going anywhere, so you don't need to run... Kanan: Mari, the African penguins aren't over there. Where's she going? Yoshiko: Huh? What happened to Zuramaru and Ruby? Dia: Oh, not them, too... Hanamaru: Mmm... Sweets always taste better after a good meal, zura. Kanan: Oh, there they are. What're you two eating? Is that ice cream? Ruby: It's jellyfish soft-serve. It's out of this world! It's got this tiny bit of crispity crunchiness to it. Dia: You should know better than to eat while walking around. Sit down somewhere and finish, please. Chika: Whoa, look at all the sea lions over on that rocky area! Riko: Chika, wait up! Hanamaru: Wanna go too? Ruby: Yeah, I wanna see the sea lions! Dia: Stay seated and... Ruby! Hanamaru! At least finish eating first! Get back here, you two! Kanan: Dia! Geez, now she's running, too... Huh? Kanan: Chuckle Aww, all the poor little penguins are frozen in their tracks. I'm sorry my friends were so loud. Give them a break, okay?

Story 6: Birds of Sea Paradise
Mari: Mr. African Penguin! Ms. Flamingo! Say cheese! Chika: These African penguins are adorable. I need to get a pic, too. Riko: I love how colorful the flamingos are. You can't help but be enamored with such vibrant feathers. You: I'll say. Imagine what a sight it'd be if a whole flock of them got together. It'd be like one big giant sheet of pink... Or maybe scarlet? Hanamaru: If I had to pick one word to describe it, I might say they were flame-colored, zura. Ruby: Flame? Hanamaru: Yeah. The name flamingo comes from the word "flamengo," which literally means "flame-colored." Hanamaru: The word "flamingo" originates from the Latin word for "flame." So one could say that flamingos are quite literally the color of flames, see? Hanamaru: The Japanese name for them, "benitsuru," also literally means "crimson crane." And the color of crimson is often associated with fire and flame. Hanamaru: Isn't it amazing how the same animal can have different names in different countries and languages, yet all those names mean the same thing? Dia: You're quite the expert, Hanamaru. Hanamaru: M-Me? N-No way, zura! I just read that in an animal picture book a long time ago, I'm just regurgitating something I read... Chika: I feel like I get smarter just by listening to Hanamaru talk. Hanamaru: Whaaaaaaaat? Riko: So flamingos are also called benitsuru. Interesting. I never knew that! It's such a pretty name, too... I think I might like it better. Mari: Are flamingos actually a species of crane? Hanamaru: No, they're a different order of animal, zura. Ruby: So they just both have long necks? Yoshiko: A name that evokes raging flames... That is so totally cool. Lucky flamingoes... Hanamaru: Oh, their color actually comes from pigments in the food they eat. If you didn't feed them their natural diet, they'd actually be white. Yoshiko: White flames! Kanan: So flamingo chicks aren't pink, then? You: They're like crayfish! They get their reddish color from the plankton and stuff they eat too, right? Chika: So if they ate things that had, say, purple pigment instead of pink... Mari: You'd get purple flamingos! Imagine a flock of them turning a whole field purple! Dia: Sounds kind of... toxic. Riko: It could be pretty if it's a pale purple... Kanan: Could you even still call them flamingos?

Story 7: Gift Shop
Chika: Man, what a blast. You: I haven't been here in forever. That was so much fun! Mari: Since we came, we might as well go and buy some souvenirs! Chika: Good idea. Maybe I'll buy mom and the others some sweets! Kanan: To the gift shop! Ruby: I'd love to get a stuffed penguin. Hanamaru: Oh! Yoshiko: What is it? Hanamaru: Over there, right in front of the gift shop... A stamp... Dia: Stam-... Oh! Chika: Ohhhhhhhh! The stamp rally! You: Holy smokes, I totally forgot about it. Dia: So did I. Even though that was our original reasons for coming here today. Mari: At some point, we all forgot about it. Ruby: Wh-Wh-What should we do? Do we have to start over? Kanan: Shoot, where were the stamp stations? I honestly don't remember, and it's a little late to go back and look for the all over... Riko: E-Excuse me... You: Riko? Riko: I, umm... I took it upon myself to stamp these for everyone, Giggle Chika: Huh? Th-These are stamp rally sheets! No way... You got stamps for every area we visited! Dia: And you stamped a sheet for each of us?! When did you do all this? Hanamaru: I had no idea, zura! Riko: I could tell you all had forgotten, and I thought that since we all started it, we should see it through to the end. Chika: Riko... I mean, you should've said something. Doing the work of nine people all by yourself must've been exhausting, right? Riko: I'm sorry. At some point, though, it became fun to try and pull it off without anyone noticing. It was a thrill trying to sneak all those stamps in! Yoshiko: But to accomplish it so many times with so many people around you... Do you have some kind of secret technique for distracting others? Riko: N-No way! Definitely not. I just tried to be as speedy as I could! Chika: Oh, Riko... Thank you! I'm really sorry. This whole thing was my idea, and I completely... Mari: Let's all make sure we stamp the final spot ourselves. Chika: There! That's the last one. We've completed the stamp rally!

Epilogue: Aquarium Exit
Chika: Hey, it's Uchicchi! Riko: Oh, you're right. He's coming this way. Chika: Yay, Uchicchi! Whee! Dia: Chika, please don't rush poor Uchicchi like that. Mari: I want to hug Uchicchi, too! By the way, is he a sea lion or a walrus? Kanan: Uchicchi's a fairy animal from the North Pole. Dia: You'll definitely pay a price if you try to jump at a fairy like that... Mari, Chika, please hug him gently and respectfully. You: Hmm? Yes, Uchicchi? You want our stamp rally sheets? Hanamaru: Is he collecting our sheets, zura? Chika: Here you go... Hmm? When you were cast down from the heavens, you gained the power to hear my voice.) Uchicchi: (Your eyes, which have kept their light despite falling into the darkness, have captivated me... and proven to me that you are worthy to rule this world!) Uchicchi: (Come Yohane! Let us envelop the world in darkness, starting with Uchiura!) Yoshiko: Oh, Uchicchi... Yes! Come Together, we shall turn this world into a jet-black paradise! Yoshiko: Gasp Yoshiko: Huff... Huff... Ju... Just a dream...
