Love Live! School Idol Festival Wiki

Spring, the Sea, and Events[]

Aqours plan an event to promote the spring in Uchiura.

Story 1

Kanan: How about we end practice here for the day?

Dia: Sounds good to me.

Hanamaru: I think the choreography and formation are coming together now, zura.

Ruby: Do you want some tea, Hanamaru?

Hanamaru: Thanks. Ahh... Tea after practice really hits the spot, zura.

Kanan: Everyone worked up quite a sweat, after all. Be sure to rehydrate yourselves!

Riko: Indeed. It's now the season where we get all sweaty from practicing outside. Come to think of it, was there a response to the video we uploaded the other day?

Chika: Yep, it was extremely well received! There are a ton of comments about wanting to come see Uchiura since it looks so beautiful!

Dia: That's great! But... I don't really see any tourists around...

You: You've got a point. It has a great view and the food is good, but that's pretty much all it has going for it.

Mari: That's no problem!

Yoshiko: What do you mean?

Mari: Have you all forgotten? We've got a new song, video, and one more thing we wanna do, right?

Chika: Ahh... An event!

Mari: We'll use our new song and video to get exposure, then have an event to bring people to Uchiura... It's a fool-proof plan!

You: An event, huh? What about the venue? Think a shopping arcade would do?

Hanamaru: What about the basement area underneath Marusan Bookstore in Numazu, zura?!

Riko: The basement area underneath Marusan Bookstore?

Yoshiko: Now that you mention it, that place could work. It's pretty spacious... Yup, around 100 people would fit in there easily.

Riko: Hmm... Even if we did it in a basement, don't you think a live show would be hard to pull off at a bookstore?

Dia: Totally. I can't really imagine us letting loose at a bookstore of all places... Though, if we must, I suppose we could have an autograph signing.

Ruby: A-Autograph signing?!

You: Whose?

Dia: Whose? It's Aqours' event, so it would be an Aqours autograph signing event, obviously!

Kanan: Our autographs? Do you think anyone would want them?

Dia: Of course they would! I'd bet the farm on it!

Kanan: No need to take it so personally...

Mari: Hey, what about the beach? We could have a bunch of people come over to that spring beach that you mentioned, Chika!

Chika: Have lots of people come to the... spring beach?

Mari: Yep. Wouldn't people love it if we made a wonderful stage adorned with spring flowers and shells?

Chika: You may be on to something!

Riko: A handcrafted stage would be super appealing!

You: Indeed. And while we're at it, let's have our own original street stalls, too!

Ruby: Original street stall? What did you have in mind?

Yoshiko: What about a fortune telling booth featuring me, the fallen angel Yohane? I could tell people their future!

Hanamaru: That sounds suspiciously familiar, zura.

Yoshiko: But I'm so sure of my skills!

Kanan: How about a tasty seafood barbecue featuring blessings from Uchiura's sea? It's safe to say that the Uchiura sea has some great offerings.

You: Sounds great! Fresh-caught seafood is the best, after all! Everyone will be so happy!

Hanamaru: Turban shells, abalones, and a ton of fish... Just thinking of it puts a smile on my face, zura.

Mari: All that's left is figuring out where to bring out some Aqours-ness!

Dia: Aqours-ness...

Kanan: Any bright ideas?

Dia: U-Um... What about the autograph signing that I mentioned earlier?

Mari: *Giggle* It sure seems like you're obsessed with the autograph signing idea, Dia.

Dia: I am not!

Dia: But if this is an event exclusive to Aqours, then we gotta add some sort of value that only Aqours can provide, right?!

Kanan: I get what you mean by added value, but...

You: Ah! We're gonna miss the last bus!

Yoshiko: It's already this late?! Yikes... We might make it if we sprint!

You: Sorry everyone! Can we pick up from where we left off tomorrow?!

Chika: The last bus...

You: Chika?

Chika: I got it! We should've just done this from the start!

Ruby: Done what from the start?

Chika: A sleepover at my house!

Together: Whaaaaaaaa?!

Story 2

Chika: Alright, I'd like to kick off our first meeting for planning our spring event!

Kanan: Ahaha! Love the word-for-word meeting title...

Chika: Hee, hee. Yeah, I couldn't think of a better name.

Yoshiko: Tis the Sabbat of the fallen angel Yohane and my little demons...

Ruby: Sabbat?

Yoshiko: To put it simply, a congregation of witches... Or a banquet of darkness. I shall envelop you all so we may all fall from grace!

Hanamaru: And that will be enough of that, zura!

Dia: We're short on time, so let's cut the chit-chat.

Riko: What do you mean, short on time?

Dia: You wanna have people come to Uchiura in spring time, right? Spring's already here, so we gotta hurry, plan, prep, and execute it since summer is days away.

You: Will do! As I mentioned earlier, I think a food stall is mandatory for an event!

Mari: Not only food of course, but drinks as well. What about a food stall with a cafe atmosphere? We could call it the Aqours Cafe!

Kanan: Well, why not? Plus, since it's our cafe, we can each take turns minding it.

Ruby: How about we all put our heads together for the cafe's menu options? There could be "Ruby Refreshments" or "Hanamaru Hot-Fudge Sundaes"!

Dia: Sounds great. And what do you think about giving those who order from the menu some sort of Aqours merchandise as a gift?

Mari: Autographed merchandise, perhaps?

Dia: Mari!

Mari: *Giggle* Just messing with you. Anyhow, on a semi-serious note, I do think it would be a good idea to give autographed photos or other merchandise as a gift.

Mari: It would be a good way to get our names out there.

Ruby: Autographed photos and merchandise?

Chika: Geez, that sounds like something popular school idols would have! *Giggle*

You: Hellooo, earth to Chika? Come back to us!

Chika: Ah! Darn it... I was having the most awesome dream just now!

You: What was it like?

Chika: Umm... Aqours had exploded in popularity and won Love Live!, and even saved a school from closing... Wait... That's exactly what µ's did...

Riko: You say dreams but I thought we were working hard to make that come true, right?

Chika: Yup! Let's be sure to make it happen with everyone's help!

Mari: Of course! And to ensure it does, first we need to make the spring event a success!

Dia: Is it okay to go with Ruby's idea for the food stand's food and drink menu?

You: Yeah! Sounds good to me!

Hanamaru: I agree, zura!

Kanan: How about we put the menu off to the side for a second, and figure out what other activities we'll have?

Chika: Besides our live show, what about some shops that offer something fun? Maybe water balloon fishing or goldfish scooping?

Yoshiko: This isn't a fair, you know?

Chika: Oh, well then... Hmm... I have no clue!

Ruby: I wonder what kind of events other school idols put on... Ah! I don't mean to copy. I just was thinking it would be good for reference or something...

Dia: Come to think of it, it might be a good idea to find out what sort of events µ's and A-RISE put on in the past.

Ruby: Yeah. Until they got popular and won Love Live!, I think they held a bunch of different events.

Ruby: I feel like Tokyo and Uchiura are like apples and oranges though...

Mari: Yeah, you're totally right. An event that may work in Tokyo often doesn't go over so well here in Uchiura. I wonder if just looking into it will cause confusion...

Yoshiko: Confusion means... CHAOS! The fallen angel Yohane lurks where the stench of darkness originates!

Kanan: Putting the stench of darkness aside, I think that Mari is right.

Kanan: Just as µ's had its own path to follow, Aqours has its own as well. Let's not be swayed by what others did. Shouldn't we just head down our own path?

Ruby: ...I'm sorry.

Dia: There's no reason for you to apologize. I think turning to forerunners' actions when no ideas materialize is something that happens quite often.

Mari: We just can't let ourselves give in so easily. Imitation won't differentiate us from all the other school idols out there.

Kanan: It's not easy...

Hanamaru: Zura...

Chika: An even only Aqours can put on... What sort of event can only be done in Uchiura?

Riko: Hmm... The first thing that pops into my head is Uchiura's sea and mountains... That place where you can view Mt. Fuji. Maybe the rest would be friendly people?

Dia: Indeed... It's not as populous as Tokyo here, but everyone is quite friendly.

Riko: Hey, maybe we can keep the Aqours-exclusive parts to the live show, and have everyone in Uchiura help out with the rest of the festivities?

Chika: You mean make it an Uchiura event instead of an Aqours one?

Riko: It might turn out that way anyway, I think. I don't feel like we can handle organizing a grand even just by ourselves.

You: That's a great idea! Think we can have them whip-up some real-deal street stalls?

Kanan: Do you really think they'll help us out?

Chika: Sure! I'll ask my big sis to try convincing them!

Hanamaru: This whole thing is turning into a serious business, zura!

Mari: All that's left is how to get the word out.

You: Maybe we could pass out pamphlets in front of the station?

Ruby: Or we could have everyone post them around the area?

Mari: That still may not be enough though...

Chika: Not enough? Then how about we forgo passing out pamphlets and just do a live show on the street in front of the station instead?

Yoshiko: A live show in the street? Is that even allowed?

You: It should be if we get permission beforehand, right? Plus, I sometimes see people putting on live shows in the street...

Yoshiko: By the way, which station? Numazu Station?

Chika: Naturally, of course.

Yoshiko: NO WAY, NO HOW! I veto that idea!

Hanamaru: Are you worried about the possibility of seeing a classmate from your previous school, zura?

Yoshiko: *Groan*

Hanamaru: There's no way out of it, zura.

Shiitake: Bow-wow!

Riko: I recognize that bark! EEEEEEEEEEEEK! Chika, didn't you promise me to keep Shiitake on a leash?!

Chika: My bad. I did, but I guess my big sis unleashed him for dinner.

Riko: I don't believe this!

Chika: Riko! Please keep it down! Otherwise you know, Mito... I mean the god of the ryokan inn will be displeased!

Riko: That's easy for you to say! EEEEEEEEEK!

You: Chika, I'm gonna grab Shiitake.

Chika: O-Okay!

Dia: It looks like this marks the end of our discussion.

Kanan: *Giggle* Looks like it. I think we're pretty much settles here. All that's left is to iron out the details and get to work... I guess?

Mari: Sounds right. I can't wait for the event!

Story 3

You: Whoa, really? The local business in the shopping mall are gonna help us?

Chika: Yeah! They said they'd set up a whole bunch of stands and stalls!

Mari: And that's not all! They're going to help with our Aqours cafe, too!

Ruby: By the way, about the menu. We took the list of everyone's favorite foods and came up with a plan.

Yoshiko: Heh, heh, heh. It's gonna knock your socks off!

Kanan: Let's see... Dia's "Sparkling Pudding A la Mode," Mari's "Grown-up Coffee and Lover's Lemon Cake Combo," and my... "That Hits the Spot Seaweed Soup"?!

Mari: Kanan's menu seems odd one out.

Ruby: *Giggle* I also thought of grilled snails but it was way too expensive.

Dia: That still would have been an odd one out...

Chika: You's item is the "Fisherman's Aye Aye Curry," Riko's is the "Fluffy Egg Sandwich," and mine is... mikan orange juice?!

Chika: How come my menu's so plain?!

Hanamaru: We couldn't think of anything we could use for a drink. And we needed some beverages for the drinks menu, so you got mikan orange juice, zura.

Chika: I understand, but... Look, everyone else's item has a cute name, like "sparkling" and "lover's"...

Chika: How come mine's just plain old mikan orange juice?

Ruby: We tried to come up with one...

Yoshiko: How about "Fresh Mikan Orange Juice"!

Hanamaru: People would think it's freshly squeezed mikan orange juice, when it's actually not.

Yoshiko: Forever 17 Orange Juice!

Ruby: What's "forever 17" supposed to mean?

Hanamaru: See? We couldn't agree on a name, zura.

Chika: Aww! It's no fair if I'm the only one with a plain menu item.

You: Let's all put our heads together to come up with a better name for Chika's item.

Kanan: Sure! It should be something bright and cheery.

Chika: Hooray! Thanks, everyone!

Yoshiko: Mikan... Oranges...

Riko: Oh! Mikan oranges are supposed to get sweeter the more sunlight they get. What about "Sunblest Mikan Orange Juice"? Err... No. wait, forget that!

Chika: Ah, ha, ha. Sounds a bit too familiar.

Riko: Please, forget I ever said anything!

Yoshiko: I've got it! "Blazing Sunshine"! Or "Sanguine Splash"!

Mari: That's very... you, Yoshiko. But "sanguine" would be more appropriate for blood oranges.

Kanan: What about "Aqours's Energy Source - Liquid Sunshine?" That definitely makes me think of Chika.

Chika: Ooh, I like that!

You: Nice one, Kanan!

Hanamaru: Aqours's Energy Source - Liquid Sunshine, it is, zura!

Dia: Last is Ruby's "Ice Cream-Topped Baked Sweet Potato," Hanamaru's "Springtime Cherry Blossom Mochi," and Yoshiko's "Strawberry Princess Trapped in the Darkness"?

Kanan: Yoshiko's item has a pretty wild name... What exactly is it?

Hanamaru: A chocolate strawberry crepe.

Kanan: Huh?

Hanamaru: I told you that you should've picked a simpler name.

Yoshiko: Not for Yohane! I won't stand for my special menu item having a boring title.

Kanan: How should we handle this?

Dia: If we include pictures on the menu, we shouldn't have any problems.

Yoshiko: Yay!

Chika: Attention, everyone!

You: We've got a suggestion!

Riko: We're still in the middle of working on everything.

Dia: Are these dolls... of us?

Chika: Since it's an Aqours event, we thought there should be Aqours-themed games. So, the three of us made them!

You: They're for a ring toss game. You line them up in the same formation we take during live shows, and try to toss the ring onto them.

Riko: We tried to think of more rules, like making people throw their rings in rhythm to our songs. That's where we got stuck.

Riko: In the end, we just settled on a regular ring toss. What do you all think?

Mari: Super shiny! How adorable!

Hanamaru: I love it, zura. It's got a very original Aqours feel to it.

Ruby: If you land a ring over a doll, do you win a prize?

Riko: Yes. We hadn't gotten as far as picking out what they'll be, but we definitely should give people something.

Kanan: Heh. Great minds think alike, huh?

Dia: We couldn't sit idly, either. We planned out an attraction we call the "Aqours Fortune-Teller."

Mari: Instead of the results just being good or bad luck, people will pull fortunes with little tidbits about us!

Mari: We'll all put our heads together to come up with the contents. Won't that be a blast?

Chika: Yeah! We'll come up with some really fun stuff!

Riko: The event's set for Golden Week, isn't it?

You: That's right around the corner.

Dia: Indeed. We won't be ready in time if we don't all hustle. Is that clear?

Ruby: I'll do my Rubesty!

Hanamaru: It's going to be a lot of work, but it'll be fun, zura!

Chika: Yeah. I hope a lot of people show up.

Riko: I'm sure they will.

Chika: Yeah, me too!

Story 4

Chika: Wow, look at all these people!

You: This is awesome! I'm glad we worked as hard as we did to promote the event.

Dia: Did you all see the parking lot?! There's whole lines of cars with license plates from other prefectures!

Kanan: I guess some people came from pretty far away to see this.

Yoshiko: Well met, my little demons. Well met, indeed.

Mari: It's almost time for our live show. Who's in charge of making the announcement?

Hanamaru: That'd be Ruby, zura.

Dia: Ruby? Are you sure that's a good idea? She tends to get stage fright.

Hanamaru: It's okay, zura. Ruby's come a long way since she became a school idol.

Chika: The loudspeakers are on!

Ruby: Testing, testing...

Ruby: H-HELLO! Oh, gosh. that's loud. Let's see... I'll turn this dial, and... EEK!

Chika: Oww... My ears...

You: Is Ruby gonna be okay?

Dia: Hm?! Ruby!

Hanamaru: .......................

Ruby: I-I apologize for that! In t-ten minutes, the Aqours... The Aqours l-live... Umm...

Riko: You can do it, Ruby!

Hanamaru: It'll be okay... I know Ruby can do it.

Ruby: The A-Aqours l-live...

Dia: Ruby, calm down. Take a deep breath, speak slowly, and make the announcement.

Ruby: Dia! *Breathes deeply* Calm down and speak slowly...

Ruby: In ten minutes, the Aqours live show will begin. Everyone, please gather your party and make your way to the stage. Thank you!

Dia: See? You were fine once you calmed down a bit.

Ruby: Dia!

Dia: You did well.

You: Ruby, Dia! Hurry up and get to the stage!

Dia: It's time to go. Are you ready, Ruby?

Ruby: Yeah!

Mari: That was a smashing success!

Kanan: Some items at the food stall's beginning to sell out. This is great!

Dia: It looks like more people showed up than any of us anticipated.

Chika: We can't discount all the amazing help that the local Uchiura businesses gave us, but still... School idols are really something special!

Riko: Where's this coming from?

Chika: Regular high school students never should have gotten this kind of turnout. We only achieved this much success because we're school idols!

Ruby: I agree. When I was making the announcement, I thought to myself, if I'm this nervous now, I'll never be able to take the stage.

Ruby: But once I got up there, my body just started moving on its own. My heart shouted with joy and excitement!

Ruby: Whenever I'm performing, I'm not my usual self... Hee, hee. I'm Ruby, the school idol!

Dia: We may have become more of a real school idol group than we gave ourselves credit for!

Kanan: I do feel like we're seeing more and more people who know our name and sing along with our songs.

Mari: Let's keep up the momentum and charge forward, all the way to the peak of school idolhood!

Chika: The peak of school idolhood...

Riko: You mean Love Live?

Dia: There's no greater accomplishment.

You: Can we really get that far?

Ruby: It'd mean competing against groups from all across the country... and winning.

Hanamaru: Is that really possible, zura?

Yoshiko: Heh, heh, heh. According to Yohane's divinations...

Hanamaru: Yes?!

Yoshiko: The future... is in our hands. Our future has unlimited potential!

Chika: Unlimited potential... *Giggle* You're right! There's no end to the possibilities that await us!

Chika: Someday I want to have a show that's so big, even this beach won't be able to hold all the people. I want more people to know who we are!

Mari: Then we'll save the school from being closed...

Dia: *Chuckle* We've got big dreams.

Kanan: We'll have to practice like crazy to make them come true. Starting tomorrow, we'll double up on everything. All right?

Chika: Aww, aren't we taking a break tomorrow!?

Mari: We're still a work in progress, remember? Right now, we need to train, train, and train some more!

Dia: Let's do our best to achieve our goal!
