Ruby: Hanamaru, you're good with your hands. Hanamaru: I'm only this good because You's step-by-step guide is so easy to understand, zura. All I have to do is follow the directions, and before I know it, I'm done! Yoshiko: You'll probably be helping more with the costume stuff going forward, so it's important to learn it now. Hanamaru: Yup! It took me a lot of time to do everything today. I'll have to review what I did when I get home. Ruby: Christmas themed accessories for all nine of us. Watching everything come together is so exciting! Hanamaru: The School Idol Festival is just around the corner. Yoshiko: Heh, heh. After seeing Aqours perform, the legion of potential little demons will be completely bewitched! Ruby: Yup! I'm sure they're all waiting for you to descend upon the stage, Yoshiko! Yoshiko: It's Yohane, not Yoshiko! Well, at least you understand how things will play out, Ruby. Ruby: I get to be up on that grand stage with everyone. It's gonna be the best thing ever! Hanamaru: You said it. I was excited enough for Christmas. Now this is making it a million times more fun, zura! Yoshiko: Hmph. Those of us cast out of heaven have no use for the holiday you call Christmas. Hanamaru: *Glare* Hanamaru: Yoshiko... You shouldn't try to act tough out of pride, zura. Yoshiko: B-Be quiet! Ruby: Wait, was that one of Yoshiko's fallen angel jokes? Yoshiko: Don't call it a joke! Hanamaru: I'm so glad the three of us have each other. We go to the same school, and now we're together in the school idol club! Yoshiko: Yeah? Ruby: You two have been friends since kindergarten, right? You're so lucky. I wish I could've gone to kindergarten with you two. Yoshiko: It wasn't all that great. Hanamaru: I'm happy we're together again here at Uranohoshi. I think it's fate that put the three of us together. I hope we'll be friends forever, zura! Ruby: I see... It was fate! Ruby: Dia! Dia! Dia! Dia: Goodness, you're loud. Once is enough! What on earth is it? Ruby: Guess what? The amazing forces of fate are what put me, Hanamaru, and Yoshiko here is the same school to become school idols together! Dia: Fate? Dia: I see. Well, I can't argue with that. You three are wonderfully blessed to have found one another. Ruby: *Giggle* You think so too, huh? Tee-hee. Ruby: I've been spending lots of time preparing for our live show with them recently. I hope we'll all walk away with some nice Christmas memories. Dia: *Chuckle* You must be looking forward to sharing your favorite parts of Christmas with them. Ruby: My favorite parts of Christmas... Oh, I get it! If I can spread the happiness and joy of the season with them, we'll definitely remember it forever! Ruby: Thank you, Dia. I'll do my Rubesty to make this Christmas a memorable one! Dia: Friends that you can trust, who also trust you, are priceless. Take good care of them. Ruby: Hanamaru! Yoshiko! I'm so sorry I had to take yesterday off. Yoshiko: You choose a heck of a time to slack off, little demon. Hanamaru: It's all right. Yoshiko worked twice as hard to take care of your work too, Ruby. Yoshiko: H-Hey, you were supposed to keep that a secret! Ruby: Umm... I know it's a little early, but here. I got you both Christmas presents. Hanamaru: Ooh... What a cute hair band! Hanamaru: And it's Christmas colors, too! Wait a second... Ruby, did you make this yourself? Ruby: Yup! I thought it's be nice if the three of us had matching hair bands. Yoshiko: Th-Thank you. But why now? Christmas isn't for a while. Ruby: I love everything about Christmas. Ruby: The joy of getting gifts, the fun of making stockings, even the excitement of leaving milk and cookies for Santa. Ruby: But my favorite part is dressing up in my best clothes and going out on Christmas Day! Ruby: When the town's all lit up and everyone's got a big smile on their face, the world glows like one giant live show. Ruby: It's a time for making lots of wonderful memories, and I just hoped these hair bands could be one of them. Ruby: Because I believe it was fate that put is in the same school, and the same club within that school. We're all linked by a very special bond! Hanamaru: Aww! I think so too, zura. To me, it's truly a miracle how I ended up in the school idol club with you all, right here in Uchiura! Yoshiko: Ruby, Zuramaru, you're both way too grandiose. But that's not such a bad thing. Hee, hee. Hanamaru: Ruby, you're amazing. I've never looked forward to Christmas this much, zura! Don't you think so too, Yoshiko? Yoshiko: I do. In fact, I feel like I could burst into song right now! Hanamaru: *Laughs* Between Christmas and the School Idol Festival, this is going to be one of the most memorable times of our lives! | Kanan: One, two, three, four... This is the part where we're all supposed to look up, but...
Mari: What's on your mind, Kanan? Kanan: I'm thinking we should be doing bigger, more sweeping moves. Right now it looks kinda ordinary. Dia: ........................... Mari: Maybe so. Also, right now we all look too serious. We should focus on smiling more while we dance, so it'll come naturally when it's time for the real deal. Kanan: Good point. Okay, let's take it from the top, and really focus on smiling this time! Dia: Hmm... Huh? Oh, yes, right. Mari: Dia, are you listening? I may have a smile on my face, but I am very stern when it come to slacking at practice. Dia: I-I apologize. Mari: What's wrong, Dia? You seem down. Kanan: Did something happen? Dia: Well... Can you meet me in the club room after today's rehearsal? I need some help, and you two are the only ones I can ask. Kanan, Mari: ...? Kanan: Dia had such a grave look on her face. Let's go, Mari. Mari: Yes. If Dia's got a problem, then we'll solve it! Kanan: Dia! Mari: Even if the entire world, of the entire universe is your enemy, we'll be here to protect you! Dia: Huh? What're you going on about? Kanan: It's true, Dia. The rest of Aqours will protect you- Wait, what?! Dia: *Sigh* I think there's been a misunderstanding. Mari: But you said you needed help, and were the only ones you could ask. And you look and sounded so serious and scary when you said it! Dia: I-I was not being scary! It's not like I have to go and fight someone, or anything like that. Kanan: Oh, then I bet I know. The club's gone bankrupt! Mari: Don't tell me you're going to beg the Ohara family heir for her pocket money... Dia: No! Of course not! What I need your help with... Is this! Kanan: This... This is... Kanan, Mari: A Christmas tree! Mari: Hey, Kanan! We need a bigger star for that spot. Kanan: Shouldn't it be the same size as the one on the other side? Mari: Bold, asymmetric designs have more of an impact. Kanan: Fine, fine. You win this round, Mari. Mari: Hooray! Dia: *Chuckle* I'm glad I asked you two to help. Kanan: I can't believe you were worried about decorating a Christmas tree. Mari: Please don't look so troubled next time. You could've just casually come up and asked us! Dia: That's easier said than done. I really was concerned. Dia: I could've done it all by myself and surprised the whole group... Dia: But I wasn't confident that I could do a good enough job on my own. Kanan: Pfft! You were overthinking it, Dia. Mari: You're such a worrywart. It would've been fine if you'd done it alone, too. Dia: I'm not like you, Mari. I can't just act without a second thought. Dia: If I could take swift, bold action like you and Chika, then maybe I could do more things my way. Kanan: I think becoming a school idol itself was a pretty bold action. Dia: I-I suppose so... Kanan: You definitely fit the bill for the smart, organized student council president, but you're also a perfect fit for an adorable school idol! Kanan: Keep trying to bring out that Dia-ness inside you, Dia. At school, and as an idol! Dia: Kanan... Thank you. Mari: Well said, Kanan! Mari: Now, let's finish decorating this tree! Mari: Hey, I know! Let's put a ribbon on Dia and make her into an ornament! Dia: I refuse! Kanan: Pfft-Ha, ha, ha! Kanan: What a riot! Mari: You said it. You know, lately I've felt so fulfilled. Before Aqours, we never really had a chance to just hang out like this. Kanan: Even though we haven't all been together for every school year, it's funny how relaxed I feel when it's just the three of us. Dia: Agreed. I'm eternally grateful that we all get to be school idols together. Dia: That's why I'm going to go all out. My beloved, trustworthy friends deserved nothing less. Dia: Singing at the School Idol Festival is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We can't let up for a moment! Mari: *Chuckle* Now that's the Dia I know! Dia: Let's put our hearts and souls into this performance, so that we can reach the goals we've set for ourselves! Kanan, Mari: Yeah! |

Ruby: *Pant* *Pant* Everyone's so motivated today... Hanamaru: This is our last practice before the School Idol Festival. We need to do everything we can make sure we're at our best, zura! Chika: The song's arranged, the choreography's done... It really feels like this is it! You: Thanks to Ruby's help, the costumes are all set, too! Ruby: *Giggle* When we finished, everyone was so excited, we all let out a big shriek! Chika: I was thinking that for this show, we shouldn't approach it like we're the presents from Santa. We should act like we're the presents we give to others! Chika: How does that sound? Dia: Not bad at all. It'll make our intentions perfectly clear to the audience. Mari: Going from wanting to receive to wanting to gift really makes our passion apparent. What a shiny concept. Riko: Nico one, Chika! Chika: Everyone... Oh, thank you! Mari: We don't have much time left, so let's confirm that everything flows together and wrap it up. We've got to get to Tokyo tomorrow! Mari: Not to mention there's somewhere we need to go before the festival begins! Kanan: Oh? Like shopping? Mari: Heh, heh, heh. You'll just have to wait and see! Right, Chika? Chika: Yup! I promise it'll blow your minds. Just be patient! Chika: Woo-hoo! We're here! Kanan: So, this is the place you mentioned yesterday? Ruby: Ooooooooh! It's the holy land! Dia, this is it! Dia: Oh, my... *Chuckle* Look at Ruby all excited. Chika: We're right by Otonokizaka High School. µ's would come here before a show to pray for good luck. Kanan: Wow! In other words, we're on the same grounds that µ's once stood on. Ruby: When we found out we'd be performing in Tokyo, Chika and I talked about how cool it'd be if we could visit. And now I see Mari put it into our itinerary! Mari: *Giggle* I'm so happy I could make my pretty teammate's wish come true. Hanamaru: Wow, zura... And now we're going to ask this shrine to lend us its power. Hey... Yoshiko, what're you doing? Yoshiko: N-Nothing! I certainly wasn't writing a wish plaque for Aqours to have a successful show. After all, I'm a fallen angel! Mari: Wish plaque? What a great idea! The rest of us should write one, too! Chika: Yeah! Riko: What should I write... What're you gonna say, Chika? Chika: I'm praying that we put on a big, impressive shoe like my role models, µ's! You: Oh, that's nice! I think I'll write down the same thing. Hanamaru: Yeah, me too. Dia: Heh, heh. Are we all going to end up with the same words on our wish plaques? Kanan: Aww, I think that'd be great. Let's pay our respects, hang out wish plaques, and head to the venue! Riko: Oh my gosh... So this is where the School Idol Festival is held. Chika: It's so big. It's on a whole different scale from the school gym. You: It looks like the audience is already filling it. You think there'll be an even bigger crowd when the performances start? Dia: Of course. It'll be standing room only. Chika: Whaaaaaaaa?! Riko: Wh-What's wrong, Chika?! Chika: This door... It says, "Aqours Dressing Room." You: Whoa! Holy smokes! I've never experienced anything like this. It's like we're real school idols! Chika: That's right. *Giggle* We're the genuine article now! Riko: I'm thrilled that so many people are going to watch us perform. Hanamaru: Hoooo... Haaaah... Ruby... I'm so nervous, zura! Ruby: W-W-We're g-g-gonna be okay... T-totally fine... Yoshiko: Ruby, you're like, the exact opposite of okay! Riko: There are going to be school idols from all over the place singing at the festival today. You: What's that, Riko? Riko: How many people here do you think will accept Aqours's Christmas presents? Riko: The other groups probably have tons of fans. When I think about how much more popular they are, it makes me so unsure of myself. Chika: Heh, heh, heh. Have no fear, Riko! Chika: Even if no one is here to receive our gift, we'll keep sending them out regardless! Riko: Huh? That's your solution? Mari: Why not? Chika's got the right idea. This isn't a tournament or a death match. It's a festival. Hanamaru: D-Deathmatch!? Mari: We're not competing with the other groups. We're united with them... and the audience, in throwing a big celebration! Riko: United... Dia: I agree. It's not about something as petty as who gives the best present. Kanan: Right on. Just stay in the mindset that you're here to have fun! Mari: We'll give them the greatest Christmas present they've ever seen... one that's filled with love from every school idol here! Riko: *Giggle* You all are so grandiose! Chika: Ah-ha! You laughed! Riko: I'm sorry for being so whiny. I'm alright now. Hanamaru: You con't help but feel brave when you're with someone who thinks as big as Mari, zura! Mari: *Chuckle* I get that a lot. Ruby: O-Okay! I'll do my Rubesty. You do your Rubesty too, Yoshiko! Yoshiko: Leave everything to me. With my powerful performance, I'll lure in a whole legion of new little demons! Hanamaru: Hee-hee. The little demons are waiting too, zura! You: Ah, ha, ha, ha! Looks like everyone's her usual self again. We can do this! Riko: The school idol festival is about to begin! Chika: Let's shine as brightly as we can, so we make this a fun performance, and a fun Christmas present for everyone out there! Chika: Aqours! Together: Sunshine! |

Yoshiko: The School Idol Festival... The ultimate stage.  Hanamaru: I know... It's like I'm walking in a dream, zura.
Ruby: My heart hasn't slowed down at all. Dia: It really is an honor to be given such an amazing opportunity. Chika: *Inhales* Chika: *Exhales* Merry Christmas ♡ Kanan: Chika? Hey! *Giggle* Chika's off in la-la land. Chika: The School Idol Festival... It was such a blast. Mari: It's all good. We were so completely engrossed in the performance! You: It was like, touching, or moving, or something. I can't put it into words, but it was awesome. Riko: I had no idea such wonderful experiences even existed. Riko: I'll never forget the experience! Chika: Thank you very much! Chika: Wow! Chika: Unreal... Totally unreal! I can't believe so many people came to see Aqours! You: The School Idol Festival is an event unlike anything else. Riko: I'm so glad we all came. Chika: It was the best thing ever. *Squeal* That's the only way I can describe it! Riko: We may have been totally outclassed by some of the other groups, but it doesn't matter. I had a great time! Hanamaru: None of the other groups had members that talked funny like me, zura... Ruby: It's okay. That's just part of your appeal, Hanamaru! Hanamaru: Ruby, you're making me blush. Kanan: Seeing school idols perform live is a much more powerful experience than watching it on DVD. Mari: Yes, indeed. They were all super shiny! Dia: The groups from the cities really do come across more polished. I wonder how Aqours looked out there... Yoshiko: We've all got our own unique appeal. Hanamaru: Good thing no one else did the fallen angel thing! Yoshiko: It's not a "thing"! Chika: When we started Aqours, I just had this vague concept of wanting to shine floating around in my head... Chika: But now I'm convinced that becoming a school idol was the right choice! Mari: The best choice you could've ever made. You're a real visionary, Chika! You: The other groups looked great out there, but I bet we all shined just as bright. You: And if nothing else, we all had a great time! Yoshiko: All those little demons were applauding at the end. I'm sure Aqours's performance reached everyone in the crowd. Chika: I can still hear them clapping in my mind... Gosh, I've never felt so happy! Riko: Before we took the stage, my legs felt like jelly... But once we started singing, it all became fun again! Chika: I was astonished at how clearly I could see the audience while we were singing! You: Yeah, really! Everyone looked like they had a big, happy smile on their faces. Chika: It was so bright... It felt like I was receiving gifts of smiles from everyone! Chika: Wait a sec... Chika: We said our performance was supposed to be our gift to everyone, but actually, aren't we the ones who received something? Hanamaru: I see. You're right! Ruby: Hee, hee, hee. Everybody was so warm and kind. Kanan: I want us to put on an even more powerful show the next time we take the stage, so that we know for sure we're meeting everyone's expectations. You: Yeah. I couldn't agree more! Yoshiko: Maybe we need a new song so that we can show a different side of Aqours in our next performance. Something a little, dare I say, hellish? Dia: H-hey, hold your horses. We mustn't get too ahead of ourselves. Dia: Before we start thinking about the next show, we must spend our days polishing and improving our school idol skills, don't you think? Hanamaru: Yeah! I want to be more confident for our next performance. Ruby: Training is paramount! Right, Dia? Dia: Exactly, Ruby. Let's all stick together and work diligently! Dia: E-EEEEEEEK! Kanan: What's the matter!? Dia: A m-m-m-m-mail. W-we just got an email! Dia: K-Kanan... You read it for us please. Kanan: Sure! Lemme see... "I saw Aqours perform! You guys were amazing!"...? Riko: Wait, is this a fan letter from someone who saw our show? Yoshiko: What was that?! Mari: Wow! Some people really do have good taste. Hanamaru: It says "one new message" again, zura! You: Hey, you're right! And there's another... These are all from people who came to watch us! Ruby: So that means there's a whole bunch of people who think Aqours put on a good show? Together: Yay! Chika: People must've really felt our desire to make our show a gift to the audience! Riko: Congrats, Chika! You: Maybe next year, we really will get a request to perform a Christmas live show! Chika: You think? I really hope so! Dia: What did I just say about getting ahead of ourselves!? But... I suppose that's fine for today. Mari: Yes. Let's allow ourselves to have some really wild fantasies so we're motivated to work hard! Kanan: We need to have an after-party today. One fun event after another! You: Yippee! I wanna chow down and talk to all of you about a whole bunch of stuff. Ruby: We're celebrating a successful show, and Christmas. I feel like I'm bursting at the seams with happiness. Yoshiko: Don't slack off now. We're the ones throwing this party, you know. Riko: Party today, practice tomorrow. Right? Chika: Right! Chika: Aqours still has a lot left to accomplish! |
